Meandering Macintyre Footpath Mosaic

In 2012 the Meandering Macintyre footpath mosaic was completed outside the Inverell Art Gallery. The footpath was designed & created by a group of volunteers associated with the Gallery as a gift to the local community. The design represents the flowing Macintyre River with splashes of colour from the native flora & fauna found in the area. This unique public artwork is 90cm wide & 94metres long. It took over 3,000 volunteer hours to make. It may well be the longest continuous mosaic footpath in Australia!
